      FINAL ROUND OF THE INTER SCHOOLS QUIZ COMPETITION
       

      The objective of the quiz was to prepare contestants and also improve their academic standard to be able to write and pass their B.E.C.E. it is also one of the interventions that the Education Directorate has adopted to monitor and provide support to the areas of the curriculum that has become a challenge to the teaching.
      The finals of the inter schools quiz competition was organized by the District Education Directorate under the supervision of the District Director and the inspectorate department of the Ghana Education service, Adansi Asokwa on the 7th October, 2022 at Adiembra church of Pentecost.

      The finals of the quiz competition was between Anhwiaso Methodist Basic School, Anhwiaso D/A Basic school, Asokwa D/A Basic School and Aboabo Number 1 D/A School.

      The opening remarks were made by the District Director of Education, Mr. Kwame Oduro-Owusu. He welcomed all the contestants and wished them well. He also thanked the District Assembly and the social service sub-committee of the District Assembly for their able sponsorship and support for the event

      The District Coordinating Director on his part commended the District Director of Education for such an initiative and also pledge the support of the District Assembly for such an initiative. He made a personal donation of One Hundred Ghana Cedis to support any female contestant who performed well in the competition.

      The quiz started with five rounds of competition touching on subject areas such as Mathematics, Integrated Science, English Language, Social Studies and problem fo the day. The adjudicating panel consisted of the time keeper, recorder, and quiz master, all from the District Education Directorate. There was a keen competition among the schools involved and at the end of the competition Anhwiaso Methodist Basic School emerged winners with Anhwiaso D/A Basic School being second, Asokwa D/A third and Aboabo Number 1 fourth. It was followed by the presentation of trophies, cash prices, certificates and other awards to the various schools which was sponsored by the District Assembly and was presented by the District Director of Education and his fronting officers.
